Vehicular Class II antenna for use with the HNS-9201 HNS-9250 Vehicular Antenna

The HNS-9250 is a variant of the Class I HNS-9201 that operates at Class II performance with a fully autonomous tracking antenna that acquires and tracks the BGAN satellite signal while a vehicle is in motion. It has a profile roof-mounted vehicular antenna (18.0” diameter x 5.7” high) and uses 12/24 VDC power.

The HNS-9201 BGAN terminal can be mounted for year round external use (see environmental operation requirements). It has the highest ingress protection rating against water and dust of any of the BGAN terminals (IP55). The HNS-9201 can survive 100 mph winds (though communication performance is degraded). The Fixed Mounting Kit includes extended power, LAN, and ISDN cables, mounting apparatus, all necessary bolts and nuts, a compass, and a level (see kit shown right). Outfitter Satellite recommends that the cables be sealed with silicone where they connect to the HNS-9201.
