The Qualcomm Globalstar GSP-2900 fixed-site satellite phone
is designed for permanent fixed-site
applications and uses AC power.
It is easy to use, versatile, and dependable. It combines the ready availability
of a two-wire telephone interface with the superior performance of state-of-the-art digital wireless technology; 9600 bps internet access requires
optional data kit.
Sound quality is excellent, and
coverage is available in North America and other regions.
Unit includes an omni-directional antenna
for external mounting and an antenna cable (desktop phone not included).

The Qualcomm GSP-2900 is PBX or 2-wire phone ready. Outfitter Satellite can provide additional
long-range wireless
handsets for use with the GSP-2900. Outfitter can also retrofit the GSP-2900 with an external antenna (see right).

Ideal for Yachts and Fixed Sites that need a sophisticated system with up to 5 cabin handsets. All handsets have GPS
Interface capability for the convenience and safety of continuous Time and Position Readout. Cabin Handsets can be locked to cabin-to-cabin intercom
use only, and the Captain's phone has master override in case of emergency. PIN protection is available to block unauthorized outbound calling. System comes with
built-in internet/data capability.
GPS information can be
fed directly into the control handset for easy access. The system can support an external PBX phone system with up to 25
access codes to eliminate unauthorized use of the system by guests aboard ship.
Outfitter stocks
antenna cables up to 80 feet in length for immediate shipment.
Longer cables are available for
custom orders.
Professional installation is available in the continental U.S. (if desired) for
additional cost.
The EuroCom system is internet/data ready. Required CD-ROM Internet/Data Software is available for a nominal charge. The EuroCom system does
not presently support short text message service.
