Thuraya SO-2510 Satellite Phone
This page has information on the SO-2510 Thuraya Satellite Phone. This model is no longer manufactured and has been
replaced by the Thuraya XT single-mode phone.
Thuraya's handheld satellite telephones use geosynchronous satellites to provide Voice, Internet/Data, Fax, short messaging
(SMS), and GPRS.
Remote location determination services via (GPS) are also possible. Satellite coverage is now available in hundreds of
countries spanning a large region of northern, central and western Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and the Indian
Subcontinent. Certain models have
GSM cellular capability.

The Thuraya SO-2510 weighs only 4.6 oz and offers polyphonic ring
tones, a 65,000-color screen, and GPS. The standard SO-2510 kit includes the phone, battery, AC charger with
international plug kit, earbud, and a USB data cable.
