select countries through an affiliate. These personnel are highly trained
to support the equipment (and the paperwork) needed for broadband VSAT applications.
High-bandwidth secure data (up to 2 Mbits per second upload rate) systems are available to
support voice-over-IP, rapid file transmission, and even high-quality video communication between remote sites.

Approximate Cost of Equipment:
We will need to discuss your specific application to determine the equipment you will need.
Typically, a Fly-Away* system will cost $8500 to $50,000 and
an Auto Acquire** system will cost $15,000 to $75,000.
VSAT service can be purchased as dedicated or shared bandwidth. Service contracts require a minimum
1-year term committment and are billed at a fixed monthly amount (except for VoIP services).
Some portable VSAT systems can support upload data rates as high as 2 Mbits/sec.

Narrowband and SCADA VSAT Applications:
Low-bandwidth packet data VSAT equipment offers a cost-effective means of building a
global or regional private communication networks to monitor remote devices
e.g. e-SCADA. VSAT antennas can be as small as 1-2 meters. By linking VSAT terminals to
land earth stations (hubs), a network is established inexpensively.
Many market sectors use VSAT systems, including oil and gas exploration companies, banks, stores,
manufacturing organizations, ATMs, and the military.
