How Does the Satellite Phone Trade-In Program Work?
If you are considering purchasing a new satellite phone from Outfitter Satellite, we will offer you a trade-in value on your old phone that you can put towards the purchase price of a new phone. The program is limited to specific phones and all phones must be in good condition and include all the accessories that are included in the standard kit. If the phone is not in acceptable condition or you are missing some accessories, Outfitter Satellite reserves the right to lessen the trade-in value or not accept it at all.
What Phones Are Accepted as Trade-Ins?
We are currently accepting the following phones for trade-ins:
Iridium Extreme PTT
Iridium GO! Hotspot
Inmarsat IsatPhone 2
Do I Need to Include the Accessories?
Yes, you should include all the accessories that came with the phone in the standard kit. You can find out exactly what is included on the Outfitter Satellite listing for that particular phone. Failure to do so may result in a lower trade-in value. The accessories must also be in good and operable condition.
What Phones You Can Purchase With Our Trade-In Program?
While we only accept certain satellite phones as trade-ins, you can purchase almost any of our satellite phones or terminals with this offer. However, it is not combinable with any other special offer or promotion.
Will You Buy Back My Satellite Phone Without a New Purchase?
We will gladly buy back any of the satellite phones listed above from you even if you do not want to purchase a new satellite phone from Outfitter Satellite. The buy back value is usually slightly less than the trade-in value. To see the trade-in and buy back values of each phone visit our trade-in page.
What If My Satellite Phone Plan Is Still Active?
There are several ways that active satellite phone plans can be handled during a trade-in.
If you have an existing Iridium or Inmarsat plan through Outfitter Satellite, you can keep your SIM card on the current plan to use on your new phone as long as you keep it active for six months after the purchase.
If you have a current plan through Outfitter Satellite and would like to cancel it when you are trading in your phone, you will be subject to the normal early cancellation charges that relate to your agreement.
If you have an active plan from another company and would like to trade in the phone to Outfitter Satellite, you must cancel the plan before submitting your phone for trade-in.
Does Outfitter Satellite Accept Trade-In Phones that Were Purchased Elsewhere?
Yes. We do accept trade-in satellite phones that were purchased elsewhere as long as it is one of the phones listed above and meets the guidelines for the condition of the phone and includes accessories.
Does the Condition of My Trade-In Satellite Phone Matter?
Yes. Your phone, as well as the accessories, must be in good and operable condition. If your phone or accessories are not in good condition or do not function properly, Outfitter Satellite reserves the right to offer you a lower trade-in value or not accept the trade-in at all.
