In our most recent post here at Outfitter Satellite, we took the time to emphasize a key element that separates us from “the pack” of satellite phone providers. That key element was our unwavering commitment to customer service and technical support. 24/7, anywhere in the world, we are available at 1-888-881-6476 and in the U.S. at 1-615-224-660. Although we do have regular business hours, we’ll be able to give you a call back within two hours of your making contact, day or night. So hang tight if you are in a situation where you need an unplanned, emergency reload on your Thuraya satellite phone or whatever the case may be: we’ve got you covered with world-class customer service.

Now that we’ve gotten some of the formalities out of the way, in this post and in our last, let’s dive into some particulars. Keep reading if you are interested in reading a brief rundown of each of our service types. From SIM cards to prepaid reloads to Inmarsat BGAN equipment and beyond, we’ve got you covered with a thorough range of satcom equipment and accessories.

SIM Cards

If you need an active SIM card delivered overnight, we offer FedEx delivery of Thuraya, Iridium, and Inmarsat SIM cards to all U.S. addresses via our store online. If you are in a pinch time-wise, this is a great option.

If you are in need of a SIM card, but don’t yet want to activate it, that isn’t a problem at all. In fact, we’ll offer you free U.S. Postal delivery of unactivated SIM cards to all addresses within the continental United States. We don’t charge for SIM cards until they are activated, so that is one less thing for you to stress about (until the time comes, of course!) But even then, we make the activation process straightforward. Click through on the SIM card link above to find the appropriate step you need to take.

Prepaid Reloads

If you already are an Outfitter Satellite customer of ours and you have a prepaid account, we make the reload option extremely simple. Keep in mind that orders processed on the weekend or holiday will be processed the next business day in almost every case. However, if you have an urgent, after-hours issue, check out these instructions. Whether you are in need of Thuraya prepaid reloads, Inmarsat BGAN prepaid reloads, Inmarsat IsatPhone prepaid reloads, or Iridium Prepaid reloads, we’ll make sure you are well taken care of.

Government Satellite Phones

Are you a government official in need of Inmarsat, Thuraya, Iridium, Hughes, BEAM, ASE, or Cobham equipment? We have special offerings and services for governmental or NGO organizations, so be sure to reach out to us today. Be sure to ask us about our special trade-in discounts we offer for our Thuraya and Inmarsat IsatPHone equipment!

Handheld Sat Phones

We offer satellite hotspots for rent, satellite hotspots for sale, in addition to satellite phones for rent and satellite phones for sale. That’s the long way of saying we have you covered when it comes to new and used satellite phones. Our used sat phones and hotspots come with a six-month warranty for added security. Carrying top brands like Thuraya, Globalstar, Iridium, and IsatPhone, we also have extra batteries, backpack-mountable solar panels, and even larger lightweight, fold-out panels are also available.

If you are wondering which brand of sat phone/hotspot is best for the region which you are planning to travel, we can help.

  • IsatPhone 2 is best for the Caribbean. Generally speaking, we recommend the IsatPhone satellite phone for latitudes from 50° N to 50° S.

  • Iridium offers global coverage, but not all models come with GPS tracking, S.O.S. emergency buttons, and GEOS emergency response operators. Make sure you research the Iridium sat phone you have in mind before making your decision. Remember, you can reach out to us if you could use some advice or need just one or two questions answered. We are happy to assist you!

  • Thuraya offers excellent coverage in Europe, Australia, Asia, the Middle East, and in Africa. Internet speeds range from 60 kbps down / 15 kbps up.

Standard And Vehicular BGAN

You might see the acronym “BGAN” used a good deal on our site and blog posts. In case you were wondering what it means and didn’t care enough to find out on your own, it stands for Broadband Global Area Network. Essentially, BGAN is a global satellite network with telephony that uses portable terminals. These terminals are then used to connect laptops and such with broadband internet from remote locations.

At Outfitter Satellite, our selection boasts a variety of BGAN terminals, of the standard and vehicular sort. Choose from top-line brands like Hughes, Wideye, Cobham, Explorer, and more. Again, our used models come with a six-month warranty, so you can shop affordably with confidence.

Backup Satellite Communications

Natural disasters like earthquakes and hurricanes can easily disrupt and even disable terrestrial telecommunications for days, weeks, and in some cases, for longer than that. That’s bad news for any organization, but it’s especially dire for hospitals and other critical facilities.

Luckily, Outfitter Satellite offers backup satellite communication systems that can be used with external antennas on a building’s roof. We offer backup internet with VSAT equipment solutions that can be available with an affordable monthly maintenance plan. We also offer Inmarsat IsatPhone and Iridium docking stations. Check out the resource above for details about each of these emergency satcom solutions!

Satellite Phone Rentals

Our final category we’ll be shining the proverbial spotlight on today is our satellite phones for rent service. We offer the Iridium 9555 for rent, the Iridium GO! For rent, BGAN Explorer rentals, and long-term sat phone rentals as well. Check out our daily rental fees, bundle fees, and our out-of bundle basic rates on the link above!

Now that you’ve gotten a little bit more familiar with our services, products, and commitment to providing exceptional customer support, keep an eye out for a future post, in which we will highlight a few of our favorite testimonials and reviews we’ve recently received. And in our next post, we’ll help answer some preliminary questions for our readers who are new to the world of satellite communication and travel.

In the meantime, don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you would like a second opinion on the ideal loadout for your next excursion!

Whether you go by air, by land, or by sea, Outfitter Satellite keeps you connected.
