The ICOM M510BB Black Box VHF with HM195GW White CommandMic™ (US) is a premium black box marine VHF radio designed for modern helm stations where space, aesthetics and functionality are equally important. By housing the transceiver unit discreetly out of sight and placing all controls within the supplied HM195GW White CommandMic™, the M510BB delivers a clean installation without compromising on communication performance.

Ideal for powerboats, sailing yachts, centre consoles, commercial vessels and custom marine installations, the M510BB provides dependable 25W transmit power, integrated GPS, Class D DSC safety, NMEA 2000 networking and wireless smartphone control in a compact, highly flexible package.

Intelligent Black Box Design

Unlike traditional fixed-mount radios, the M510BB's transceiver can be installed behind dashboards, inside consoles or within electrical lockers, leaving only the sleek waterproof CommandMic visible at the helm. This not only creates a cleaner appearance but also frees up valuable dashboard space for chartplotters, fish finders and navigation displays.

The supplied HM195GW White CommandMic™ provides full control of every radio function, featuring a bright colour LCD, intuitive menu system, programmable keys and crystal-clear audio in a compact handset.

Built-in GPS and Class D DSC Safety

The M510BB incorporates an integrated GNSS receiver, allowing the radio to automatically obtain vessel position for Digital Selective Calling (DSC) operations. In an emergency, DSC distress alerts include your GPS position, helping nearby vessels and rescue services respond more quickly.

Its dedicated Class D DSC receiver continuously monitors Channel 70, ensuring distress calls can be received even while communicating on another working channel. The radio also supports individual, group, position request and All Ships DSC calling functions, making it a capable communication solution for both recreational and commercial users.

NMEA 2000 Connectivity

Designed to integrate seamlessly with today's marine electronics, the M510BB features built-in NMEA 2000 networking alongside NMEA 0183 compatibility. This allows GPS data, AIS information, DSC calls and radio status to be shared with compatible chartplotters, multifunction displays and onboard navigation systems.

Whether you're building a new electronics package or upgrading an existing vessel, the M510BB fits naturally into modern marine networks.

Smartphone Control via Wi-Fi

Built-in Wi-Fi enables compatible smartphones and tablets to function as additional wireless handsets using ICOM's RS-M500 app. Crew members can make and receive calls, monitor channels and communicate throughout the vessel without needing to return to the helm.

Up to three mobile devices can be paired simultaneously, providing greater flexibility on larger boats or multi-level vessels.

Exceptional Audio and Advanced Communication

The M510BB incorporates Active Noise Cancelling technology to reduce engine and wind noise during transmission and reception, ensuring conversations remain clear in demanding marine environments.

When paired with an optional hailer speaker, the radio also supports a powerful 25W two-way hailer, 20W receive hailer and electronic foghorn functions, enhancing onboard safety during restricted visibility and close-quarters manoeuvring.
