Rent an Iridium 9555

Why choose the Iridium 9555? This satellite phone is a no-frills workhorse Iridium^® satellite phone with an economical rental cost. It provides reliable global coverage for voice and SMS messaging even in mountainous terrain. For GPS and emergency SOS functions, you should choose the Iridium Extreme^® instead, but for users interested in basic voice and texting functionality the Iridium 9555 is an excellent and economical choice. SMS or "text" messages up to 160-characters long can be sent to cell phones or email addresses. Receiving SMS messages on your satellite phone is free of charge.

Do you need internet? The Iridium 9555 does offer 2.4 kbps internet access but this data speed is really suitable only for very light email communications with small attachments under 100 KB and renting an Iridium GO!^® would be a better choice since we offer unlimited internet with that device. Web browsing or other broadband applications like Skype or video require specialized internet terminals. We have options. Please call us to discuss your needs.
