How to send SMS Messages to Thuraya Satellite Phones:

• Some Thuraya satellite phones can operate in GSM cellular mode and Thuraya satellite mode. The cost for sending and receiving SMS messages in GSM cellular mode depends on the GSM regional operator being used and is not discussed here. In Thuraya satellite-mode, a Thuraya phone can send and receive a 160-character maximum length SMS messages. There is a small per SMS charge for sending an outbound SMS (see your service plan for pricing), but inbound SMS messages received by the satellite phone are free.
