Thuraya offers regional coverage in large parts of Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. A list of covered countries is shown below. The primary coverage area is indicated in dark blue. Weaker "fringe" coverage exists in the areas indicated by light blue. It is important to understand that a direct line of sight between the terminal and the Thuraya satellite is necessary in order to connect the Thuraya IP+ terminal to the internet. Even in the primary coverage regions, terrain features such as mountains or trees can block the satellite signal.
