For both plans, the first month’s Monthly Fee, Bundle Fee & Monthly Bundle are pro-rated, but regardless of the day of the month on which activation occurs, the month of activation counts as the first whole month of the Initial Term Commitment.

BAND 3 includes Ascension Islands, Australia Satellite, Cook Islands, Diego Garcia, Inmarsat BGAN, Inmarsat BGAN HSD, Inmarsat B-HSD, Inmarsat M4-HSD, Iridium, Kiribati, Montserrat, Nauru Islands, Niue, Samoa Western, Sao Tome, Solomon Islands, St. Helena, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna, and all other mobile satellite networks.

Billing
Voicemail is included with this plan. The rates shown above only apply to voice, fax and 9.6 kbps circuit-switched data calls, SMS message and GmPRS data usage while the satellite phone is in Thuraya satellite-mode. Other types of calls (including GSM-cellular-mode calls) are billed at different rates, and the Customer is responsible to know these rates before making any call. PSTN refers to public switched telephone numbers. Billing is in 60 second increments (60 second minimum). GmPRS is an “always on” internet service offered on a best-effort basis with best case data speeds up to 15 kbps upload and 60 kbps download. GmPRS data usage is billed in 10 KB increments. MB refers to MegaByte of data transferred; KB refers to KiloByte of data transferred.

Monthly Bundle applies only to Band 1 voice calls. The unused part of the Monthly Bundle during any given month is lost and does not roll to a subsequent month. Out-of-bundle usage is billed according to the rate chart.

GSM-Mode Calls
Some Thuraya phone models have a GSM cellular mode. The customer is advised that the rates shown on this page are for Thuraya satellite-mode calls and do not apply to calls made or received in GSM cellular mode. The customer is advised that GSM cellular mode calls are typically much higher cost than Thuraya satellite-mode calls. Rates and billing increments for GSM-mode calls vary dramatically as the user roams onto different GSM regional operators. In GSM mode, rates for making or receiving voice or data calls or sending or receiving SMS messages are subject to change without notice.

Payment Method
Credit approval is based on a valid U.S. credit card, substantial deposit, approved company purchase order, or a Dunn & Bradstreet credit report. By default, the Customer’s credit card will be billed automatically each month for the charges described in this agreement. If Customer does not provide the U.S. credit card for the automatic monthly billing, an additional $2 per month per phone charge will apply, and the Customer agrees to pay within 30 days of the statement date for service continuation. Payment must be made by check drawn on a US bank, money order, wire transfer, or a U.S. credit card.

Minimum Term and Plan Change Requests
The Initial Term of this Service Agreement is measured from the activation date. If the service is cancelled prior to the end of the Initial Term, there is an early cancellation charge equal to the total monthly service charges remaining on the Initial Term of the Agreement. After the Initial Term is completed the Service Agreement has automatic one (1) month renewal terms for each subsequent month and the customer can cancel without penalty at any time. A plan change request is effective on the first of the subsequent month (the “effective date”) and the Initial Term of the new plan’s Service Agreement(s) will begin as of that effective date.

Cancellation Procedure
To cancel service, the CUSTOMER must provide Outfitter Satellite with an express written, signed intent to cancel. The CUSTOMER remains responsible for airtime and other usage until 3 business days after the CUSTOMER’s requested service cancellation date, and if this service cancellation date is after the 25th of a month, the CUSTOMER is liable for any service fees to be billed in the subsequent month. Upon cancellation, there is no refund or proration for unused bundled or prepaid usage or any service fees.
