Outfitter Satellite has a small number of used Iridium 9575 Extreme Satellite Phones available at discount pricing. These used satellite phones have a 6-month warranty and include all the components of the standard kit. The prices shown on this page are only available while our current inventory lasts.
The Iridium 9575 Extreme® is the most weather resistant and feature rich Iridium phone yet. It offers pole-to-pole global voice, short messaging, 2.4 kbps circuit-switched data, and short-burst data (SBD) communication services. Advanced weatherization technology gives it an incredible IP65 rating against water and dust intrusion. A built-in GPS feature lets you see your location and text it to others. You can even set it to automatically text a bread crumb trail of your positions during the course of the day at equal time intervals. Optional web-based tracking services are available for more sophisticated applications (additional fees apply).
In case of a personal emergency, the Iridium 9575 Extreme® has a one-touch S.O.S. button so that you can quickly transmit your GPS position to one or multiple friends. If desired, the S.O.S. button can also initiate a call to a pre-defined phone number. This makes the Iridium 9575 Extreme® satellite phone a powerful safety tool.
If you need email, we recommend that you also purchase the Optimizer or AxcessPoint WiFi hotspots. These devices let you wirelessly connect your PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, or Android to the internet via the Iridium 9575 Extreme® satellite phone. Because of the relatively slow 2400-2800 bps data rate, we do not recommend Iridium for web browsing.
Home Zone Region Definitions*
The Monthly Plans and Global Prepaid Plans presented above have global coverage except for a short list of countries that have opted-out of Iridium coverage. The Regional Prepaid Plans presented above provide service in a geographically-restricted Home Zone Region. There is a small percentage of instances where the geographic restriction will extend or retract from the Home Zone Region described here because the Iridium system interprets the call as originating from outside the designated Home Zone Region, and service availability is not guaranteed in these instances.
