The SHOUT 3G is a versatile dual-mode Iridium/GSM tracking and messaging device. Featuring a touchscreen interface, it provides fast access to menus and simple text entry through an on-screen keyboard.
Like the SHOUT ts, the SHOUT 3G incorporates ultra-low power electronics, consuming less than 35µA while in sleep mode.
Powered by an internal 1.95 A-Hr rechargeable Li-Ion battery, the unit is capable of transmitting position reports every hour for up to two months, delivering around 1,500 reports in total. The device automatically wakes from sleep at set intervals to send its location back to a monitoring center.
For emergencies, a protected 911 button enables instant alert notifications. Messages can be transmitted in standard format, 256-bit AES encryption, or PECOS 10-byte/30-byte packets.
