Built-in GNSS for Enhanced Safety

The M605 features an integrated GNSS receiver supporting GPS, GLONASS and SBAS satellite systems, providing fast, accurate positioning for navigation and emergency communications. With vessel position continuously available, Class D Digital Selective Calling (DSC) distress alerts automatically transmit your location to nearby vessels and rescue services when every second counts.

Its dedicated DSC receiver continuously monitors Channel 70 while you communicate on another channel, ensuring emergency calls are never missed.

Exceptional Audio with Active Noise Cancelling

Marine environments are rarely quiet, which is why the M605 incorporates Active Noise Cancelling technology to significantly reduce engine and wind noise during both transmission and reception. Combined with its powerful commercial-grade receiver and 15W external speaker output, conversations remain exceptionally clear even in demanding offshore conditions.

The radio also includes Last Call Voice Recording, automatically storing up to two minutes of received audio so important messages can be replayed if missed.

Expandable for Complete Vessel Control

One of the M605's biggest strengths is its flexibility. The rear microphone connector supports the supplied HM-205RB speaker microphone, while the radio can also be expanded with up to three optional RC-M600 Command Heads and/or HM-195 COMMANDMIC™ remote microphones, providing full radio control from multiple locations around the vessel.

This makes the M605 an ideal solution for larger boats with flybridges, enclosed cabins or multiple helm stations, allowing seamless communication wherever you are onboard.

Advanced Networking with NMEA 2000

Designed for integration with modern marine electronics, the M605 supports both NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183/-HS networking. It can exchange GNSS position data, AIS information, DSC call details, radio status and PGN data with compatible chartplotters, multifunction displays and navigation systems, helping create a fully connected helm.

For users requiring additional privacy, the optional UT-112 Voice Scrambler provides secure voice communications with 32-tone scrambling capability.

Built for Professional Marine Use

Engineered to perform in harsh marine environments, the M605 features an IPX8 waterproof rating, allowing it to withstand immersion in one metre of water for up to 60 minutes. ICOM's AquaQuake™ technology clears water from the speaker after heavy spray or rain, while the large colour display offers both day and night viewing modes for excellent visibility in any lighting conditions.

Additional features including a 30W two-way hailer, automatic foghorn, Dual and Tri-Watch, weather alerts and instant Channel 16 access make the M605 one of the most capable fixed-mount marine radios available for serious boaters and marine professionals.
