Testing your Iridium^® Satellite Phone

In an emergency you won't have time to test that your satellite phone is working. Fortunately, you can test your Iridium equipment free of charge. We recommend that you do a free test on a regular planned basis to make sure your Iridium phone is charged and operable -- and to make sure you know how to use it.

Testing your Iridium Extreme^® Satellite Phone

1. Go outside to an open area and extend the Iridium antenna to the sky.
2. Turn on your phone.
3. Wait for the green LED network indicator.
4. Dial 00-1-480-752-5105.
5. Press the green button to start your call.
6. Listen for the successful call completion message.

Testing your Iridium GO!^®

1. Go outside to an open area and extend the Iridium antenna to the sky.
2. Raise the WiFi antenna on the Iridium GO! to the up position.
3. Connect your smartphone to the Iridium GO! Wi-Fi signal.
4. Log in to the Iridium GO! app on your smartphone. The default username is "guest". The default password is also "guest".
5. From the app, tap the "Call" icon. Dial 00-1-480-752-5105. Hint: you can also select "US" and then dial 480-752-5101.
6. Press the green Call icon.
7. Listen for the successful call completion message.
